Kimchi Red Dress

The Kimchi red dress run starts this Saturday, 2PM, at Mo's Diner.  Mo's is located at 108 Manitou Ave, 80829.  However, you must park at the Manitou High baseball field.  To get there from I-25, exit Cimmarron and head towards the mountains.  Turn right on 31st street, then turn left (towards Manitou) on Colorado Avenue.  After a mile or so on Colorado there is a stoplight at the T-intersection with Beckers Lane.  Turn right on Beckers and head half a block to the baseball fields.  Park there and walk back to the stoplight and you can see Mo's from there.  Mo's is directly across the street from Castaway's.  

Hash cash is five bones.  There is also a bar on trail, so bring some extra loot.  Trail is relatively tame but keep the high heels at home.  Your feet will probably get wet and circle is outside, so plan accordingly.

Mug Sighting

So there I was....no not at Arctic. I decided why not lets go to the Flatlanders Halloween Hash. I arrive and there before my very eyes was Bleeder's and Lincoln's mugs on trail. I think Bleeder's mug had a little more fun though. It kept appearing amongst nekkid hashers. Amazingly no teabagging was ever seen. It had quite a fun time with a virgin and then suddenly posed with a topless, pumpkin headed hasher. Well, Bleeder's mug had a great time in San Diego as some of you might know. However, she does not seem to want to go home just yet. She is thinking of heading east for a bit and then who knows after that. She is having fun and meeting lots of new hashers. Unfortunately not all the pictures can be posted but I will gladly show them to anyone if they ask. I will also do this whenever I get more photos from her. Lincoln's mug made a guest appearance but thinks he might go back east for a bit. I wonder if they are collecting frequent flyer miles?

Decision Time

Ok so I got with a shirt company for the price, all in all pretty reasonable. Question would you want on-on going down the sleeve, or a foot design, if the foot was one color 1 dollar extra per shirt if it was 3 colors then 3 dollars extra per shirt. Or we can leave the sleeves blank and it would be a plain black long sleeve t-shirt with the last posted HASH design no vote for Kimchi just plain. What do you all think? The price I got was for 20 shirts total.

Double POOP

Well friends no reason to sugar coat it. As it stands right now I will be leaving the great state of Colorado and all the cool Kimchi kids. I do not know when I report but I am heading to Ft Sill to be a Drill Sergeant talk about gay, with the exception of one bar ( micro brew ) the only beer you can get is 3.2% unless I drive to Texas and hit the local wal-mart. Plus side 2 1/2 hours from Dallas, 45 min from Oklahoma City but from looking it will be a drive to any hash over there. Downside is well I'll be a fucking Drill Sergeant, working all the time away from my wife and in Oklahoma the only thing gayer than that is Brownie. I'll keep you all updated on this as we get closer. If all works out I plan to make BFE and the IH2009 in winter park before leaving the fun behind.

So apparently there was a big fight between Lincoln's and Bleeder's mugs. The argument led to lincoln's mug leaving and going east instead of west. I am sure they will reconcile and the mug might go visit the west coast.

So apparently my truck collected some lost property. One is that I now have someone's shoe. Only one now though. Must have made the last trail fun. Yes I still have your patch Nascock, show up to trail for once and you might get it back.

I did find some mugs in my truck but they must have hopped a flight or something because when I got home from Texas all I found was a note saying they wanted to see what California was like. They did say they would be at Tex-Mex though. The note said that Lincoln's mug got tired of waiting for him to come to a hash so it decided to go and hash on its own. I think Bleeder's mug went with it to keep it company. I need to double check on that though.

New Shirt Idea

Ok so I found this picture on a friends profile and thought it was cool. Then I decided it would make a cool t-shirt. Now I am not sure weather to have it blank with no words on the front or the Vote For KIMCHI of course this can be a different color to show up. If we leave it blank it could almost be a multiy hash shirt that other hashers could buy from us without reprise for sporting honest to goodness Kimchi t-shirts.

So this leaves us with many poll's or votes to decide this thing because currently there is nothing on the back and I was thinking with the weather getting cooler a long sleeve t-shirt might be a good idea even if we would have to charge a little more for the shirt. If we go with the long sleeve I was thinking we could put either on on down the sleeve or just a foot going down the sleeve.

Tell me what you think and once it is figured out I could contact a place I found and get us a price so what do you say.

Where: Rampart Range Road shooting range. To get there, head into Garden of the Gods from Manitou. About 50 meters past Balanced Rock, there’s a dirt road on your left. Follow this dirt road about five miles ‘till you see the folks with guns. The road is slow going but there’s no need for 4WD vehicles. It is a pain in the ass go get up there, so anyone interested in carpooling and pre-hash PBR's should meet at my house (120 Deer Path, Manitou, 80829) before 1:30PM to carpool. The hares would really appreciate this as it'll cut down on car runs after the hash. Besides, you’ll need a few drinks to gather up the courage for this trail.

Why: Because Westwank is gonna fuck up the Denver hash, so if you want to get in a good trail this weekend there's only one choice. And because rumors have it that there might be some Firefly Vodka on trail.

You will get wet and dirty, and possibly shot, on this trail.

Destiny has it that I will be Hashing with the Kimchi Hash sometime soon...unlike the last attempt in 2007...damn the man...so many biers, so little time.

Am departing the Bier country I have sequestered myself in for the last 9 (gads! that long?) years (minus a visit to the sandbox), to return to the land of my birth - Colorado. 1983 was the last time I lived there longer than 2-hashes (leave/vacation), so I guess my sorry ass needs to find beer goggles to look at the pretty (non-existant) horse pastures with.

The military, in all it's wisdom, has deemed it necessary for me to find my own Import/Export service to transfer my booze back home, so I am not sure how much bier I will be able to drag back as a dowery to the Hash. More (bier and info) to follow.

Look forward (or backwards over my shoulder) to finally hashing in CO! Home Kennel is Surf City HHH, Santa Cruz, CA. Hashed all over Germany and CA, with a jaunt in Sweden.

I didn't think the Kimchi hash could ever top some of our TexMex performances, but Invihash might have been our best weekend ever. Sure wish I could remember it.

How about College Football

Instead of putting this on my blog ( nobody really checks it out anyway). I decided this was the best place to talk about opening day of college football.

First there was talk from Brownie of how this was going to be PITT's year well it could happen stranger things have happened however losing to Bowling Green in the season opener doesn't help much.

WVU from the heighlights seemed rather impressive, seems that Pat White has spent the offseason learning how to actually throw the ball and quite well I might add, 3 TD passes, but do not worry his speed is still there so don't forget about that. 19 more days folks and the Mountaineers will be in Colorado, so remember drink lots of beer and take lots of pictures and enjoy the game, cause I would have if I was there.

Then of course there is Rich Rodrigez and the Michigan Wolverines at home losing to Utah wow didn't see that one coming, it looked like Michigan had a chance of course the refee's mad some piss poor calls and personally walked them 60 yards up the feild to attempt to tie the game but a over thrown pass on the two point conversion was the deciding factor. Apparently Rich's wife still stays up at night and cry's because her friends all now hate her and her husband for leaving WV and something I didn't know was he was actually mayor of his town, but I guess that has changes as well and he feels betrayed, well fuck him he talked a big game and betrayed the team he was coaching by leaving before a championship game so who betrayed who.

On another note Brownie I am still waiting on that PITT shirt so I can uphold my end of the bet from last season, if need be maybe I can find a gay one to order then I can give it to you for your collection when I am done. I am already thinking of a bet for this year you will need to come up with something if PITT wins again ( look in the books after they win they lose the next 2-3 ) anyway if WVU wins I am thinking you should sing John Denver's Country Roads at Karaoke just like WVU will be blasting that song at the end of the game after they win. CO Invihash pre-lube

For those not flying directly into Walsenburg International Airport, there will be an Invihash pre-lube hared by the Colorado Kimchi H3! Start time is 6PM on Thursday, August 28th.

Start point is at the Townhouse Lounge, located at 907 Manitou Avenue in Manitou Springs, 80829. This is about ten minutes from Colorado Springs. From I-25, take the exit for US-24W (exit #141). Continue west (towards the mounatins) and take the exit for Manitou Springs. Continue towards the big mountain once the ramp dumps you off on Manitou Ave. A good parking spot is at Memorial Park, look for the big train as you hit the main drag of town.

From the Townhouse, hashers will be loaded up into vehicles, blindfolded, and taken to a secret start point. It's a Kimchi hash, so trail will include shiggy, mud, stream crossings, Pabst Blue Ribbon, graffiti, Brass Monkeys, jello shots, and a few other surprises. Trail also includes a pub crawl.

Hash cash is $5 to cover the trail, and pay-as-you-go for the pub crawl.

Lots of crash space available in the Springs area. Colorado hashers contact someone in the area, any out of staters can get ahold of me and I'll see what I can do.

(No, I will not drive to f*kin Arkansas to Hash with you - it's just an example).

So come on, volunteer to Hare and if its your first time, I guarantee one of many of us more experienced wankers will gladly co-hare with you. Hell, two of us will co-hare so we can set more bad trails and back checks!

August 4 - DIM hash

Back by popular demand! It's the second annual Jerry Garcia b-day DIM hash!

Monday, August 4. Trail starts at the Red Rock Lounge on the corner of Colorado Ave and 31st in Old Colorado City. From I-25 exit HWY 24 and head towards the mountains. Take a right on 31st street, a left on Colorado, and another quick left into the parking lot.

Hared by an all-star cast including BLOS, STD Bitch, MeatGazer, Tonka Butt, and brownie. Live lay, hares away at 6PM, hounds follow at 6:15PM.

I'm still getting hate mail from Pikes Peak hashers over my last DIM, so this trail will be slightly more AARP acceptable. No named peaks will be climbed, so how hard can it possibly be? Hell, even NIPS should be able to finish this one. There will be a turkey/eagle split and, for the super lame, a bail out point.

Grab your favorite tie-dyed shirt and some hallucinogenic drugs and come out for a grate trail!

Drunk Man Killed by Bears at Ukrainian Zoo After Falling Into Enclosure

Three bears at a Ukrainian zoo tore a man "limb from limb" after he fell into their enclosure, local media reports.

The 22-year-old man was drunk and trying to take close-up shots of the Siberian Brown bears at Mykolaev city zoo when he lost his footing, witnesses said, acording to Channel 5 television.

The three bears charged the man immediately, tearing him "limb from limb" as he tried to escape, according to the station, quoted by the Deutsche Presse-Agentur news agency.

The man was dead before keepers could separate the animals from their victim.

The brown bear is highly territorial and among the world's largest land carnivores.

The lesson here? SHARE YOUR BOOZE WITH THE BEARS!!!!

Craft Lager Festival

Well it's time again for the Craft Lager Festival on the Saturday, August 9th in Manitou Springs at Soda Springs Park. Once again John "7 Second Pump" Dunfee is looking for 30 plus volunteers to help set up, man, and pour beer for all the beer stands that are to be set up at the festival. Volunteers get free entry to the festival (which costs $25), a free commemorative tasting glass, a free T-shirt, and unlimited sampling (within reason) of beer from over 30 breweries. This is an all day event starting at 10 am-ish setting-up, after step-up is completed drinking (under the brige) till the festival starts which is at 1 pm, pooring beer till 6 pm, then break down of stands, clean up, and post party. Batman Kimchi Movie Night

Kimchi movie night for the midnight showing of 'Batman - the Dark Knight', at the Cinemark at Carefree Circle on Thursday, July 17th (there should be give aways at the theater).
